There is no grid connection at Big Sky. Every home runs its own solar, and water comes from a private well. That is not roughing it — the houses out there are finished houses — but it does mean your power and your water are yours to look after. For some buyers that is the entire appeal; for others it is a reason to look closer to town. Both are reasonable, and it is better to know now.
Big Sky Stables sits inside the community, offering rentals and boarding, discounted if you live there. It is what makes this valley different from every other gated development on this coast. Rancho Tere and Las Alas are the nearby places to eat — Las Alas has a cafe, a pickleball court and a playground.
